I hate the lottery system!! The Timberwolves missed out on Shaq (who went to Orlando) the year they had the worst record, and instead ended up with Christian Laettner--thanks a lot lottery system! And I think Orlando had the worst percentage (least lottery balls) the following year, and still won it. NO WAY!!!
I agree i also hate the lottery system. The worst team should have the best draft pick, it helps them to improve and become more and competetive

I agree with the idea of shortening the length of a teams pick to 7 minutes, however the rest should stay the same since the teams with the worst records the year before already get the top picks.Needless to say, this would eliminate the need for a lottery draft.

The NBA draft lottery is stupid as it is!!! I think it is stupid when allowing a good team to have a chance to get the 1st overall pick!!!

Worst idea ever, we don't need a gimic. The worst teams should always pick first!

Maybe a draft lottery for picks 6-16, but the five worst teams should at least get their picks guaranteed.

A lot of the teams from picks 6-16 have different strength of schedule, so a team that is better could go 7-9 while a worse team could go 8-8 or 9-7 and have a worse pick.

Honestly a lottery would probably benefit a team like the Vikings because they rarely have a sub .500 season.

Yeah although i really dont want a lottery i think it would benefit the Vikings because they are always in the middle of the draft, wether it be in the playoffs or not, they always have a decent record and a lottery would give us a chance to move up. But as i said before, i do not want a lottery.

draft lottery is no better than the current format, because either way teams can purposely blow games towards the end of the year to get an almost 100% chance of a top 2 or 3 pick

in the nba teams blow games on purpose to get closer to #1, so it would be no different if that was the case in the nfl..there would still be teams telling their kickers to completely shank kicks just to get the no.1 pick
