    More updates about the lions...

Lions | Bradford signed to four-year deal
    Mon, 13 Mar 2006 12:22:21 -0800

Len Pasquarelli, of ESPN.com, reports the Detroit Lions have signed free agent WR Corey Bradford (Texans) to a four-year, $7.4 million contract that includes a $2 million signing bonus.

--All they needed was another wide reciever....!

Lions | McCown completes visit; leaves without signing
    Mon, 13 Mar 2006 13:52:00 -0800

Mike O'Hara, of the Detroit News, reports free agent QB Josh McCown (Cardinals) finished his visit to the Detroit Lions Monday, March 13, and left without signing a contract.

--They just can't land a qb, can they?

As for switching kickers with the packers...that would be funny, and again we get the better end of the deal...sharper turned out to be just what we were looking for and longwell will be 200% better then edinger! If they sign edinger, that is close to the stupidest thing they would have done this offseason...(First is fireing sherman for the 49ERS OC). Why do you think the bears let him go?? Cause he couldnt kick outside!!

    Good news for us again!!

What's up with the Lions and their obsession with receivers? Maybe they should look at getting someone to throw the ball first. Silly Millen, glad he's in our division.

Okay, so at least their trying with a second stringer.

ESPN.com's Len Pasquarelli reports the Detroit Lions have re-signed WR/KR Eddie Drummond to a five-year, $6 million contract which included a $2 million signing bonus. It is believed the contract makes Drummond the NFL's highest paid return specialist.

--This has to be one of the few good things that have happened for our competition...this guy's good....hoping he would move outta the north though....!

And I just figured I'd throw this in there....not much has been mentioned on TO...so here's some news:

Kitna agrees to four-year deal with Lions

Jon Kitna made the first move Tuesday for what will be a busy day for NFL quarterbacks by agreeing to a four-year deal with the Detroit Lions.

Terms of the four-year contract weren't available, Kitna visited the Jets and Lions and was under consideration by the Ravens. He sensed something was going to happen with another team over the weekend when he told the Bengals he would not be returning.

In response, the Bengals brought in Rams quarterback Jamie Martin for a visit.

Kitna's decision could heat up talks between the Redskins and the Jets for Redskins quarterback Patrick Ramsey. The Redskins want to move Ramsey on Tuesday in a trade. Detroit, the Jets and the Dolphins were the teams talking to the Redskins.
