My guess is that Hawk will be gone within the top 6, I think he'll probably go to San Fran. Greenway may or may not be there at 17, but the 1st round is pretty deep with linebackers.

LB or Deangelo Williams. Hopefully Greenway will be there. I would like to see us move up a little to get him or Williams if needed. I know we got Taylor and he will be good next year, but Taylor will never be as good in our system as Williams could be. I have a feeling (barring injury) that williams will be the best pro RB from this class.

We need a LB that can help out in pass coverage and Greenway is the best for the job. If we did get him do you guys think he would play MLB for us (aka Urlacher) since the mike LB drops back into coverage alot?

If Greenway and Williams are gone, I wouldn't have a problem with taking a RT such as Justice who could move to LT if we can't resign McKinnie.

What makes you say Taylor wouldn't be as good in our system?

I think if we can't get one of the three QB's or Sims/Greenway we should trade down. Trade down like 5 to ten spots and pick up another 2nd round pick; then we can pick the best player available, one of the RB's or a CB maybe. then in the 2nd if need be we can trade up for Hodge and fill the rest of our needs: CB or LB, QB, and T.

i like takin greenway maybe at 17..but it would be cool to see aj hawk being drafted if we traded up to get him..abdul hodge is a stud too tho...
Q: At your age, can you handle a full season?
A: I m 37, number one. I took my family to Perkins a couple of days ago, and they didn t hand me a senior citizens discount card, so I feel pretty good.

I'm not saying I don't think Taylor will be good for us, but I just think Williams is a stud and will be the best RB in this class because he's got it all: speed, quickness, vision, hands, durability, and he knows how to avoid taking big hits.

I think we have to draft for a linebacker, its obviously our most glaring need.

I like the idea of trading our pick/s to move up or to move back. I don't think it is likely that we trade back because I don't see anyone coveting a pick at the 17 spot. However, if we could get away w/ it, trading back would be nice because then we could draft 2 LB's and create some real competition at that position. More than likely they will trade up for Cutler or stay put though.
