Remember ladies ... WCO and pro set formations. Fullback and two TE's being the base formation the others are developed off of. "random to be named" rb, fb, wiggy on the weak side and Kleiny on the strong. Look out opposing LB's ... it's a match up thing. If you send both out in pass patterns in middle seams and have Goodspeed block to the strong side, either TE will have a huge advantage in most situations.
There are actually very few two TE base formations in most WCO.
Most common is a 2 wideout set with 1 Tight end and both a half back and a fullback in the backfield.
If you wanted to lineup another TE you would have to sacrifice one of your RB's and most of the time the FB is sacrificed because in the WCO the drops are so short you would rather have the better hands of the HB and the speed.
I imagine you will be seeing a lot of HB + FB sets with only one tight end, in fact I would be very surprised if you ever see two TE's in out new offense.
That says to me one of two things:
A)Kliensasser is gone
B)The new guy was signed for depth because we are losing a good run blocker in Moe Williams.
Pro Set actually rarely has 2TE's as well. The only one I can think of is Pro-Set Power where you only have 1 wideout.
