What about a OT in the first round?

There can be alot of argument as to where are weakness is most on Offense, WR, QB, TE, but our ROT to me seems like the logical place to go considering the handful of prospects that are considered 1st round to early second this year. I have to agree with alot of people that say ryan Cook is not the answer at RT. However I do think that he has a future at C, which is more of his natural position. So unless we pick up a FA(max Starks would be my choice), it seems like a solid choice to make.

Every site is different and i am sure that I will miss one but from what
I have read Jake Long is the clear cut #1 choice for a OT and mine to but
looking at everyone in no particular order

    Jake Long-Michigan
    Ryan Clady Boise St.
    Jeff Otah-Pitt
    Gosder Cherilus(I love the name)-BC
    Anthony Collins-Kansas
    Sam Baker-USC
    Chris Williams-Vandy

I really think we need to go DE. It seems to fall off quite a bit at OL after Jake Long. From what I read the draft seems solid for DEs.

I agree...our main need is DE or maybe WR...we should take one of them in the first round...maybe a later pick for OL...but not first, or even second in my opinion.

Actually, the offensive line class this year is very solid. There will probably be atleast three OL taken in the first 15-20 picks. Clady could very possibly go in the top 5, and Sam Baker and Jeff Otah are not far behind.

My hopes are that the Vikings draft a DE or S (or possibly an OT of they are the BPA) in the first round, and then a WR in the second round. There is a lot of top end talent at DE in the first round, and there is going to be a ton of value and talent at WR in the second round.

Only if an OL is the BPA at the seventeen spot.

I like Cook, and Herrera did a great job after the bald bafoon realized he needed to have him in instead of Hicks. I guess it wouldn't hurt to have depth, or incase McKinnie sufficates from that inflated contract, but otherwise i want Phillips in the 1st no matter what it takes, he will be a beast, and we need a safety since Doss, Williams are FA, Smith has "Character Issues" (Although the investigation is still ongoing), and Sharper is getting long in the tooth

Yeah he is such a bufoon!! As are all the other coaches in the NFL who didn't start someone right away who blew up eventually. Look at that idiot Parcells, he should have started Romo a long time before he did!

Maybe I shouldn't pick on one statement, but that just made me laugh. If a person decides he doesn't like Childress, they will try to blame absolutely everything on him!

    Thanks Josdin00 for the sig!
