As I said before, we are talking about replacing our crap (BB) with someone elses crap, so it is kindof crazy to even get to worked up over it, however, again, I really like (if like is the right word) the thought of Sage if they will come off of him for a 3rd or lower. We have to find someone who can come in and feel like they can be a back up other than Bollinger....I am not comfortable with him there. I cant stand him...do not trust him at all. Marrdro you are right the divorce was very ugly but i again forgot about the fumbleitus....and that is huge stops me right there.
Hopefully they will draft a decent guy that will be the backup in 2009 and we won't have to worry about this anymore. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

From what I can see from the scouting reports.... I would be happy if they landed one of these guys, in this order.
Booty.
A good fit in a WCO but he has very little upside.
Should be, in the right system, a good NFL starter.
Josh Johson. Perfect fit for a WCO.
Needs to get up to speed with the NFL game as he played Div I.
Small frame equates to possible injury prone.
Kevin Oconnel.
Nice size and strong arm.
Great touch on the ball both short and deep.
Has happy feet and likes to run first instead of getting through his reads.
Good fit for WCO with the right coaching.
Ainge. Great size and decent arm.
Needs to be broken down and rebuilt. Project that can eventually be a starter in the NFL.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

The only way Dante will ever be on this team again is if the Eagles sign him as a backup.
Then we will trade our first round pick for him.

Wow.
Just when I think I have seen every thread possible this offseason...
Do remember the way Dante acted to get out of Minnesota?
How about the reception of boos that Dante received when he came here last?
What on earth makes you think he would want to come back?
And why on earth would we ever want him?Zeus wrote:

Well, we didn't sign Randy this off season, and he left on a lot better terms than Daunte.
Would Daunte be a good backup?
No doubt.
Would most fans/coaches want him back? Not likely...
I m like a Ja Rule poster, cause I'm off the wall.

Just to let you know, by the time C-Pep was the QB Reed was not helping at all as he was in New Orleans. Carter only played with C-Pep for two years ... and the second he did not even get 900 yards. Pep did a lot more than people give him credit for around here. It is fair to say he had Randy Moss the entire time, as he pretty much had Randy right up until half way through 2004 or so. But Daunte did some good things for us.Well I know that Moss Carter and Reed made him look great, but the fact that the raiders couldnt get a team together if they had to. They have had great stuff there and couldnt do anything with it so you really cant blame him but yes you have to remind me of the fumbleitus. That is huge. I forgot about that problem.
None-the-less, he became a whiny bitch at the end under a new regime and showed no signs of being a team leader or even a team player. His departure was far too ugly for him to be seen back in Minnesota.

If that doesn't, the fact that when Childress was asked if he'd consider Culpepper as an option, he laughed hysterically & said, "NO".We have to find someone who can come in and feel like they can be a back up other than Bollinger....I am not comfortable with him there.
