Taylor is a great DE which the Vikings need pretty badly right now.
Taylor could be the last missing piece to the defense right now.
IMO Taylor's play, leadership, and intelligence far outweigh a 2nd round draft pick that has never taken a snap in the NFL.
Come on, you know that's BS
in 2 years he's 35 and then what? he's useless better pick a young boy who might make some inpact for us but who will last much longer
Hell yeah! Just look at Erasmus James & Dimitrius Underwood.
    Thank you.
    What about Brian Robison???
He's a beast and should be starting.
Funny you mentioned that, here's another good example. Would you rather have Sidney Rice and Brian Robison for a 33 year old Jason Taylor?

I expect to have another great draft this year, really want all our picks.

If we are not willing to give up a 2nd round pick to get a proven backup QB at a decent age i think its highly unlikely we trade for Jason Taylor.

Alot of fans think the draft is a complete crap shoot. This is very false, make sure you take the right guy and watch him play for along time.

Jason Taylor seems more worried about dancing with stars than playing football, this usally indicates the end of a carear. I want a young hungry 2nd round Safety to take over for Sharper eventually.

Erasmus James was injury prone in college and was high risk pick. Obviously we didn't do enough homework on Dimitrius Underwood. The way we have been drafting as of late gives me the impression we are serious about doin our homework on players before throw our draft picks at them.

No way we trade a second round pick for 33 year old DE.

James had a hip injury in college not a knee problem, knee injury is just bad luck as it was for Greenway his first year and also for Udeze in 05.
    Underwood had mental health issues.
Speaking of menal health...Lets get the guy from TCu as awell.
He should be a top 5 pick but suffered a mental breakdown. He should be available in the 5th.
He was the defacto pass rusher in his draft and was schedule to go before Long.,
Wouldn't it be crazy if he could regain control of himself and be the incredible pass-rusher he was supposed to be? Some team will take a flyer on him, I wouldn't mind if it was us.

Hey, I'm a Robison nut hugger, but come on...It's Jason Taylor.
    He's a brilliant pass rusher, durable, intelligent AND...AAAAAAND...managed to thrive in both a 4-3 and a 3-4.
He's a community guy to, high character player.
He's basically my favorite pass rush specialist.
He's getting up there in age, but still has juice...and what better guy to learn from for our young DEs?
Brian could spell him, and they could keep each other fresh, providing constant pressure on the quarterback.
That, along with our more matured secondary, and you're looking at one of the nastiest defenses in the NFL, maybe the most imposing since the Ravens won the superbowl.
It'd be a clutch deal to pull off, and I'll be happy in my pants.

He can hit, that's for damn sure. I wish he could just stay healthy.

    I don't know that's BS.
If I did I wouldn't have written it.
Your point he will be 35 in 2 years just makes my point stronger.
It means he has at least 2 good years left to help this football team become stronger and help the younger guys mature.
He's a great football player and a class act.
He would be a tremendous addition to this team.
You can pick up all the "boys" you want.
I'd rather have a proven veteran that knows what he's doing.
    He's a play maker.
What better than Taylor, Williams, Williams, and Edwards/Robison?
Taylor would instantly upgrade that position.

With all of the depth at DE in the draft there is bound to be a good player who will be released to make room for one of those picks who will be able to fill in nicely for us and not cost us draft picks.
