    Re: we have our kicker

Great move. Kickers are under valued. Longwell may be the best in the game.
I think it plays to Dnabbs strengths because he doesn't turn the ball over much.

I see us kicking alot of FG's this year. Important signing here.

In case nobody knew, Longwell is #16 all-time in point scored in NFL history.

Last season he had 81 points, which is one of his worst seasons. in 09 he had 132.

if he can get 100 points, he takes Adam Vinateiri's spot at #12 all-time (he'll move up as well assuming no injury happens or anything)

at the end of his 4 years here, averaging even just 80 points a season, he'll probably be #8, as John Kasay and Jason Hanson are still active and ahead of him. Averaging his career average of 113 points/season, he'll get to 2035, which puts him ahead of Matt Stover and George Blanda.
    Individual stats mean squat.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Let ole PUKER boy run around kicking FG's now. He's not a player anyways. Just a kicker. :P

Hell, he might even be able to get it past the 15 this year.
Looks like you had a bit of a typo there buddy. Fixed it for you.

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

I remember that one time we had a good kicker, then he missed when it mattered. That sucked. (Still too soon???)

Also, being in Texas, we get lots of Texans games. Knowing not having a good kicker can cost 3-4 wins per year... I'm happy to have him back.

Glad to have Longwell back. He's a dependable kicker. It's easy to take a position like K or P for granted, but I surely don't miss the Doug Brien/Aaron Elling/Paul Edinger days.
