Believe it or not, I'm not that upset over keeping ole Shortwell. His limitation (CAN'T FRICKEN KICK OFF DEEP) has been overcome by a new league rule.

Let ole PUKER boy run around kicking FG's now. He's not a player anyways. Just a kicker. :P

Hell, he might even be able to get it past the 5 this year. :evil:

In case nobody knew, Longwell is #16 all-time in point scored in NFL history.

Last season he had 81 points, which is one of his worst seasons. in 09 he had 132.

if he can get 100 points, he takes Adam Vinateiri's spot at #12 all-time (he'll move up as well assuming no injury happens or anything)

at the end of his 4 years here, averaging even just 80 points a season, he'll probably be #8, as John Kasay and Jason Hanson are still active and ahead of him. Averaging his career average of 113 points/season, he'll get to 2035, which puts him ahead of Matt Stover and George Blanda.

One less thing to worry about I guess. The new rule only sets to benefit him so that's a plus too.
