Why do we get that additional 7.4mill?

Probably performance incentives not reached by certain players on our team.

I was thinking Bentley and Runyan actually. How old is Witherspoon anyways?

I say in FA, we get Runyan, Bentley, Lavar Arrington, Resign K-Rob, Resing Burleson, Resign Chavous, and don't trade culpepper.

$31.9 million by my calculation. Plus at least $10 million more when the new CBA deal goes through tonight. That's crazy money!
Wow...it looks like Collegeguyjeff's prediction may be coming true! Remember the, "We are 30 million under and some teams are 20 million over, heck that gives us at least 50 million to spend!"? He was actually relatively close!

Runyan is too old for me and it sounds like we are after Hutch right now, but bentley would be good too, with Birk having injury concerns.

Witherspoon is 25 and a stud if you ask me. I don't want Arington because he is way too much of a freelancer and I don't think we need that in a cover 2 which relies on everybody being in their correct spots.

But I think we should get DeAngelo Williams.

I'd be very happy with either one and the small contract that would come with them.

Now we need to open up the checkbook big time for Hutch and witherspoon. No excuse not to with all the money we have.
 How about so we don't have to cut players next year to free up cap space?

i'd almost rather have a super team one year, and win the lombardi and have to do some cuts next year than have another 4 years of adaquacy but consistantly be 20mil under the cap.

plus with being almost 50 mil under the cap we can easily afford 2 big name players like Hutch or James or Witherspoon. I would be surprised if we didn't end up with one of them next year.

How in God's name did you come up with the Vikings being $50 mil under the cap? Try $31 to $32 mil.
