Visits scheduled with Curtis & Shiancoe

Vikings | Shiancoe scheduled to visit Friday
    Thu, 1 Mar 2007 23:19:31 -0800

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports free agent TE Visanthe Shiancoe (Giants) is scheduled to visit with the Minnesota Vikings Friday, March 2.

Vikings | Visit scheduled with K. Curtis
    Thu, 1 Mar 2007 23:17:37 -0800

John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports free agent WR Kevin Curtis (Rams) is scheduled to visit with the Minnesota Vikings first, but there could be weather problems.

    Update:

We are also schedule to visit with Daniel Graham and Ashley Lelie it seems..

    LELIE IN DEMAND

One of the first free agents to hit the road will be receiver Ashley Lelie.
Per a league source, Lelie will visit the Texans on Friday and the Vikings on Monday.

Lelie was a first-round selection of the Broncos in 2002.
He was traded to the Falcons last year.

His best season came in 2004, when he had 54 receptions for 1,084 yards and seven touchdowns.

GRAHAM TO VISIT RAIDERS AFTER BRONCOS

An industry source tells us that free-agent tight end Daniel Graham is scheduled to visit with the Raiders after visiting with the Broncos.

Of course, that fact alone might be enough to get the Broncos to do whatever is necessary to get him signed.

The Vikings are the third or fourth stop, we're told.
    If it gets that far.

We are just as close to getting Lelie and Graham as we are getting Curtis.
I wouldn't mind picking up all three (and may as well throw in Kerney to boot!).

I don't understand this Shiancoe meeting all that well.. If they are looking at him, they may as well pass and keep Kleinsasser as the starting TE.. Graham would be a huge addition, but it looks like he will most likely sign with his hometown Broncos..

    Shiancoe to visit

    Shiancoe to visit
    Friday, March 2nd, 2007
    by Judd Zulgad

As the Star Tribune reported today the Vikings have interest in the Giants’ Visanthe Shiancoe and according to ESPN the tight end will be here today for a visit. A warning for Vikings fans before you look at these stats: you aren’t going to be very excited.

Another free agent the Vikings could contact today is cornerback Nick Harper of the Colts. Minnesota might have the inside track on Harper, whose position coach in Indy was new Vikings defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier.

    What do you recommend?
Have them make illegal contact with FA's and have the agents in as well to work up contracts prior to FA so that we can sign them the minute it starts?
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

VIKES TO TAKE A STAB AT HARPER?
    pft.com

Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports that the Vikings might contact cornerback Nick Harper, an unrestricted free agent.

Zulgad also reports that the Packers are interested in receiver Joe Horn, and that the Vikings are not believed to be interested in 49-year-old receiver Keenan McCardell.
