    Vince chooses not to throw?

    POSTED 10:27 p.m. EST, February 14, 2006
    VINCE CHOOSES NOT TO THROW?
    Mike Florio

[Texas quarterback Vince Young demonstrates one of the few things he'd actually be willing to do at the combine.]

Less than a month after agent Major Adams said that Texas quarterback Vince Young will throw at the upcoming scouting combine, Adams now says that Young might not throw, after all.

"We want to make sure it's something we want to do and somthing that's best for Vincent," said Young's agent, Major Adams.

Asked why it might not be in Young's best interests to throw at the combine, Adams said, "Unfamiliar surroundings, unfamiliar receivers."

Adams denies that the decision is linked in any way to Young's poor showing in a college skills competition aired by ESPN the day before the Super Bowl.

This is either brilliant or stupid. There are a lot of questions about Young's arm strength at this point, and no one knows is he can make the big throws. With him not working out, some teams could be scared away by either the uncertainty of his arm or the fact that they think he might be hiding something, so his stock might drop. It could be brilliant though, beause if he doesn't think he can perform well and IS hiding something, then teams won't know about it until he's signed to a big contract.

If I were him I would not work out either.

I think this is really going to hurt him as well it should.

If he is too scared to go throw because of unfamilair players guess what buddy.........lol

Definately a big negative for him. Like the ESPN radio man said today, it's my house I bring my inspectors, if I want to buy a car I'm going to kick the tires.

Either way he'll be drafted early and get a good contract I think. Had a great college career and pro teams will be just dying to get their hands on what could be their next franchise QB.

I think he will slide quite bit in the draft.

The guy has way too many question. He will be Aaron Rogers part 2. Playing chutes and ladders all the way down.

It's possible, the nice thing about Young though is that if all else fails with his arm at least he can run. That should be able to buy him a few years on any team until he can get that passing down. Vick would be a prime example of that...as much as everybody does hate him.

Titans will still snag him.. His stock won't drop.. They need a QB and want McNair's understudy
