Vikings will be handicapped in free agency

So - let's PLEASE all try to remember this when FA starts next week so there isn't a lot of bitching about not signing Player X or Player Y, okay?Vikings will be handicapped in free agency

INDIANAPOLIS - The NFL has long had a rule in place that prohibits teams from contacting the representatives for pending free agents until the league's new year begins, shortly after the NFL scouting combine.
The reality is that clubs often have the chance to lay the groundwork for their pursuit of players at the annual event that draws countless agents.
Just don't look for the Vikings to be involved in any of these covert discussions this week.
As one of the four NFL teams that reached its conference championship games, the Vikings stand to be a non-factor in unrestricted free agency when players hit the market at 11:01 p.m. on March 4.

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

I'm sure that will help. The Vikings are always supposed to sign every big name regardless of the cap, need, or reality of the situation. That is a given....So - let's PLEASE all try to remember this when FA starts next week so there isn't a lot of bitching about not signing Player X or Player Y, okay?

I fully expect us to go after Peppers AND Kampman; Sproles, LT, Westbrook AND Taylor (yes, a 5 man backfield), trade for Moss, sign Dunta Robinson and a few others just for good cause.

I have been saying for years that if this front office knew what was good for them they would go get Peyton Manning.
