Compared to Shank's 62.8%...doesn't seem too shabby to me.
Add another year in the system for Shank, experience for TJack, a steady improvement by the Oline, and he just might out perform that contract next year!

Seems to me, that The Big Chill likes to spread the ball out and involve lots of different options, so he'll probably never see 100+ targets like the top guys.
But, 62.8% of 75 would be 47 receptions times 12 yards is a 564 yard season.

If we get at least that kind of production from him, Berrian, Wade, Rice, the RBs, and the other WRs & TEs, we're at 3384 yds recieving.
Last year that would be 17th in the NFL.
But, I fully expect more out of Berrian, and if we maintain our status as No.1 Rushing Team, that might be enough to get us deep into the playoffs.
I do love how you make your point my friend.
    Excellent post.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v343/josdin00/Vikings/Marrdro_sig.jpg

Yeah...I liked what (little) I saw out of Mills.
    Seems promising.
Remember Belichick freakin' when the Vikes picked him off of waivers?
thats true he did pretty much freak out :P

but Mills is sort of turning into a Jason Carter, he made two catches.
I'll reserve my judgement on him until i see him up at training camp and if he can earn a roster spot
The biggest thing about Mills was he made those two catches in an actual regular season NFL game.
Not to say that is enough to judge somebody, but it's better than trying to judge a player by what he does in practice.
yea i know, Carter made his catches in the Preseason.. i wasn't saying that i didn't see promise in him as well, just don't want people getting too hyped up on him, saying he's better than Shiancoe, when as of now thats just kinda BS until September, then again.. its the offseason
Hell, they were all hyped up on him after one lousy TD catch in a pre-season game. Some wanted him to replace T-Will, yet after 2-3 years in the league, Carter hasn't even merited anything but a brief moment of playtime in his career & I don't even think he is with a team anymore. He also has yet to catch even one regular season pass.

No way can anyone claim he is better than anyone starting in the league today. They have absolutely nothing to back them up other than he had a good camp.

i worded that poorly, only the first sentence was about Carter.
The rest i meant i don't want people saying Mills is better than Shiancoe, until we see them both play this year

    I think not :

We have bigger needs than a pass catching TE who doesn't block well...
