Post-Gazette writer Ed Bouchette takes a look beyond the stat sheet and postgame comments and analyzes where the Steelers are after preseason Game 3 Saturday vs. the Vikings -- a 12-10 win....

The offense takes a while longer to jell as a unit, often well into the first quarter of the season. The defense looked good, and with our passing attack sitting on the sidelines, we did OK. I'm not worried about not getting many rushing yards, as we will get those when the season begins. The biggest thing was staying injury free, and letting the bubble guys get reps.
