I don't think there will be much of a battle. Not much of a battle.
They're just gonna figure out how to use them. Passing situations, two back sets, 3rd down, red zone,
When both Chester, and AP are in there, pressure will be taken off of both.
Therefore, so much pressure will be put on the opposing "D", especially with our Offensive line!!!
NOW, watch our passing game take off.
The passing game will be tremendously better than last year's horrible/ pseudo-passing game!

It's amazing the possibilities these two, AP and CT, bring to camp and our offense. What gets me the most excited is the two back sets that could be a serious threat in the redzone, which is an area we greatly struggled. And it's going to relieve a LOT of pressure off of tarvaris.

These two backs will ensure that Tarvaris will be able to ease in, but in a rather fast manner.
The game will "slow down" for him soon.
Watch out, all of you Defenses this year!

Re: Vikings Training Camp Battle: Chester Taylor vs. Adrian Peterson
I think for the first part of the season, it would probably be best to have the two split carries.
If we abuse Peterson too much, we risk re-injuring him.
Chester is such a work horse, and he was very productive for us last year.

Re: Vikings Training Camp Battle: Chester Taylor vs. Adrian Peterson
Yep, I think that will only help the two of them. Look at what they bears did last year with their two backs, they both looked pretty good towards the end of the season splitting carries. Obviously they weren't getting even numbers of carries, but just giving the #1 guy a breather every now and then can really help.

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!
