Re: Vikings Training Camp Battle: Chester Taylor vs. Adrian Peterson
Is this considered a "battle" or are they going to split time this year? I thought AP was going to be out for the first few weeks of the season with his shoulder anyways?

I get the most pissed off looks from people with my VKG 4 LFE Wisconsin license plate, and I LOVE IT!!

I think this we be about as much as a battle as Pat Vs Kevin Williams.

Not much of a battle.
They're just gonna figure out how to use them. Passing situations, two back sets, 3rd down, red zone,"There is good and there is evil. And evil must be punished. Even in the face of Armageddon I will not compromise."

There could be a split back set with TR blocking.
It would be difficult to call who gets the rock.
In all seriousness they will most likely split time at first.
However I'd say by mid season AP wins the starting spot.
CT will become more of a player on passing downs where he can come out of the backfield.
Just my opinion.

It would not surprise me to see Peterson get the majority of the carries every week.
He has the potential to be a great one.

I hope they both touch the ball 20 times a game. That is the only way our offense is going to work.

idk, i think i love the idea of having a "fanchise" and "pretty good" back, lolBut unless injury problems crop up again expect Peterson to end the season with more carries and more yards than Taylor--he's the franchise back, while Taylor's just pretty good.

I doubt ap will get a feature back role this year. Chilly's too cautious to do that, what with AP being a rookie with an injury history.
WE CAN BUILD ON THIS!!!

In AP I trust
