So..........he had 1 solid hit on a QB. That doesn't mean he consistently does it.

Do I need to dig up another big hit where Vikings fans everywhere donned Greg Blue "A Beast".

Where is he now? He couldn't even make the Lions team last year

    There's more hits.
Just let me know how many tackles you need to see before you'll believe he can hit.
And Greg Blue could lay the lumber, he just couldn't do anything else and that's why he isn't on an NFL team.

Bad Pick. Not even a good special teams guy.

    How do u figure?

Cuz he was on the SC D that sucked?

He looks raw to me.. Developmental guy and someone if he concentrates on special teams can be just fine

From what I have read he is pretty much suited for a 3-4 Defense. Had a nasty Knee injury in 2007 and has been limited since then, Everything I have read have him as a 7th round/UDFA so this is kinda confusing.
From what I have read about him, it looks like he doesn't have great instincts and has been slowed by his ACL injury.
Did the Vikings really believe he was in such danger of being off the board that they needed to trade up?

Were the alternatives at 158 that much worse?
The Redskins took LB Glen Cody with the traded pick.

I have to say , WOW!

He looks so bad in that game.
Doesn't cover his gap, gets blocked, gets trapped off the play, misses open field tackles .... I am unimpressed.

Check out the screen at 1:50.
The coverage follows with the burn in slow motion.

He's rated as the third best MLB on this site.

He gets broken down easily by the running back's cuts. He doesn't have good instinct on which side gap the running back is going to take. That's bad for a middle linebacker. On special team, everything is sped up. So this guy is going to get lost out there.

I like Harvin. I'm ok with Loadholt. I LOVE Allen. I don't like the Brinkley pick, especially that we moved up to get him.

Guys his is a 5th rounder and a project. Not like he was going to come in and start.

With that being said we should have took Duke.

    +1

    Not a big deal

Wouldn't be surprised to not even see him make the team

I bet he will but its not a high draft pick and someone who would see much time at all this year anyway

Apparently the coaching staff is happy with our WRs and QB. We didnt do a damn thing in FA (Sage prolly wont even play) and now not much in the drafft. Harvin isnt really a true WR.
