MANKATO - The Vikings appear set to open training camp this morning without first-round draft pick Adrian Peterson. Coach Brad Childress said Thursday that Rob Brzezinski, the team's vice president of football operations, and representatives for the running back were "hammering away" at reaching an agreement but that nothing was done.....

Thats really too bad.
At least he is a running back and probably doesn't need the TC experience as much as other positions might.

This could hurt or limit his playing time early in the season.
Less opportunity to show he deserves the ball more than Chester.

I'm not all shocked that Peterson won't be in on time with slow movement within the top 10 but I consider it a massive failure that Rob has not finished Rice's contract.

Second round picks should not be late for camp the shit should be done.

Totally agree.
ESPECIALLY with our current WR situation.
We need all the talent and competition we can get.
Rob usually does a pretty good job managing the salaries...Could Rice be acting unreasonable?
