Re: Vikings | Team will visit with McMahon

I know this has been beat to death, but I would prefer McMahon over Harrington. I agree he would be a "gamer" as a back-up and draft a QB with one of our 2nd round picks to groom. Don't give up the ranch! Still want ONE more OL in FA though.

Here's a list of why I would like Aaron Brooks on the Vikings:

Who is out there? It seems Aaron Books is going to Oakland to possibly start and Harrington is probably the other best option left.
Unfortunately, all I remember about Darrin, or choose too, is the Washington game, sorry, lol!

I think Harrington & McMahon will be excellent 3rd string QB's if we get Cutler. But I would rather have Harrington or McMahon over JT. At least they have palyed some games. Harrington just needs to get out of Detroit. Detroit has a young team and the coaches they bring in every year could never put that whole team together. They have some very good players but the players they have just cant play together.

Yeah...whither the front office? Are we going to draft TWO starting linebackers? That wouldn't be a very good idea. The offseason shouldn't suddenly become this boring this early. We still need to get at least two FA's who are mid-level players or better. There's still a few of them left.

McMahon is horrible....he's completed less than half of his passes in his career....

Campare his 40 something % completion percentage to Culpepper's 70+% and I think that he will be hated here in Minnesota...with all the ppl who hated Peppy...they will definetely hate this guy if he ever gets in!

Harrington plays scared; plain and simple. He makes terrible decisions. At least McMahon is a gamer and plays hard. I would not mind bringing him in since he does have some NFL starting experience under Childress' system.

What I would like to see is the Vikes sign McMahon for immediate back up purposes, then groom someone that we pick up in the draft.
Who doesn't play scared in Detroit? McMahon played scared in Detroit too. He doesn't even stay in the pocket and go through progressions, he just takes off.
