Vikings | Team may visit with Scott
Vikings | Team may visit with Scott
Sat, 18 Mar 2006 07:51:36 -0800
Lee Rasizer, of the Rocky Mountain News, reports free agent DE DeQuincy Scott (Chargers) may visit the Minnesota Vikings, according to his agent, Dr. Da-I Ping. He is also scheduled to visit one other unnamed team in addition to the previously reported Denver Broncos. Those probably will be the only visits Scott makes, Ping said.
So now the Vikes are finally starting to look around again. DE is definitely not a need but at least we are finally looking around again. Fingers are still crossed for the Hutch deal.Zygi Zagi Zygi Zagi Oy Oy Oy!!!

but people won't like this DE coming to town. he is not a big enough name."There is good and there is evil. And evil must be punished. Even in the face of Armageddon I will not compromise."

wilf offered 49 mil. to hutch. not cheap at all.waiting on this arbitration deal is keeping them from spending more.they have to know how much money they have to play with before they can spend it..

Re: Vikings | Team may visit with Scott
I have to agree with those who are sceptical about this. DE is one of the few positions we are totally stacked. Udeze, James, Scott, Johnson, Johnstone if he comes back.. We don't need some guy fom the Chargers whom Fran Foley has obviously recommended.
That being said, I've said before that these guys know what they're doing, and I'm willing to accept if I'm wrong. Hopefully I am.

Re: Vikings | Team may visit with Scott
DE, is not a first necessity on our team. We need safety's, and something needs to be done with the QB situation. I understand that we are looking at the draft which is fine, but we need a QB that can come in and play right away, in case BJ goes down with a injury..
We also need O-Line help much worse then we need another DE. The vikes better get it going, and stop playing games. Now I don't have to have all the top fa's come here and sign, but it would be nice to sign a big name player other then Ryan Longwell, and our own Koren Robinson. If they knew that this Hutch deal was going to play out like this, then they really had no business making the offer. I am all for getting Hutch, but if this deal falls through, we just lost out on alot of fa's that could have helped our team. That could be the difference between making the SB, and not even making the Playoffs..
