Vikings sign WR Michael Jenkins

My guess is that we add Fabian Washington and then call it a free agency. I would LOVE to get Olin Kreutz! It was just announced that he won't be returning to the Bears.

No thanks. Olin is old, broken and washed up. A walking penalty that man, he can't play anymore.

He is old, but we said the same thing about Matt Birk. Who has been a great signing by the Ravens. I'm a Notre Dame fan. That being said, if I see John Sullivan snap one more over Donovans head, I'm gonna freak out. Lol.

Did McCombs acquire the team back during the lockout or did they sign this guy to replace Greg Lewis?

Certainly can't be to replace Rice.

While it would be better to sign a more proven player.. Quite sold on Malcom Floyd, i aprove of Jenkins.. He will prove us with a good possesion target and with Berrian and Harvin - we already have the speed to go over the top..

Jenkins knows the offense and knows what he has to do..

I hope that these receivers we got do actually make me eat crow. But im not sold on a single one of the free agent receivers we got. I just dont get how all these other teams go out and sign some proven players and we signed none. Unless you count resigning Longwell. We didnt sign not one proven player, just players who we hope can produce for us.. Disappointing free agency IMO...

I had to agree with this..he will be our possession receiver AND he knows the offense that will be in place.

Yep.

They are proving to be an inept group on everything from choosing coaches to not hiring a GM to failing to put together a comprehensive stadium plan like the Governor requested. This really is tracking to be a repeat of the Red McCombs era. Deja Vu all over again.
