Thats what I was thinking, sounds like he meant to be more than just training camp fodder.Childress must really like this guy if they signed him to a 2 year contract right out of the chute.Time spent annoying a Packer fan is never time wasted...

Re: Vikings Sign AFL DE
sounds like a solid addition.
lets just see who makes the final roster and who doesn't..
though i like the talent they are bringing in over the offseason

He's the 91st player on the roster. It's gonna be interesting which 38 don't make the final 53 man roster. (I'm not sure if the 91 includes practice squad. If it does, we'll only have to cut 30, right?)

Odds that he's put on the practice squad?
Odds that he doesn't even get there?
Sorry to be negative, but I doubt we'll be seeing much of this guy. Hopefully I'm wrong and he tears the house down in mini-camp and blows out OT's for many years to come, but I just don't see it.

I didn't read that, but to be honest it wouldn't be the first time an NFL team has cut a guy before his contract is up."Benet" wrote:

Re: Vikings Sign AFL DE
The 2 yr contract is a a good point but it seems like in all the UFA and equivalent they always say "Terms of the deal were not disclosed" so who knows what type of contract they are getting.
*edit kind of a tangent... but is there really an advantage to not telling everyone the details of the contract?

Reuniting with Karl Dunbar (our DL coach and was the DL at Ok State) may also bring out the best in him.Maybe KWill can bring out the best in him...and show him the ropes on how a Pro Bowler does it!"Hard work beats talent, when talent doesn t work hard."
