Vikings and Seahawks "deep in talks" with Rice

@AdamSchefter: The pre-camp battles: Vikings and Seahawks battling for WR Sidney Rice; Raiders and Niners battling for S Dashon Goldson.

@JasonLaCanfora: As expected Seahawks and Vikings deep in talks for Sidney Rice. Does he go to Seattle with his old coordinator or stay in MIN wit a new one?

@JuddZulgad: RT @JasonLaCanfora: As expected Seahawks and Vikings deep in talks for Sidney Rice.

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

Yeah we really need him. I was so happy to see that our biggest competitor was the Seahawks. With that awesome QB comp they are gonna have (Whitehurst, T-Jack, Leinart), how could he not sign there?

Sorry Rick! Keep up the good work.

Bingo. 50 years without a superbowl. Never a superbowl. Rookie head coach. Rookie offensive coordinater with a poor track record. Rookie QB or washed up veteran. Defense in decline.

His agent will try to direct him to a team that will give him lots of money and great stats for his next contract.

Leslie Frazier and Rick Spielmann have a tough sell.

But the QB situation appears to be worse in Seattle. So perhaps we will get lucky.

Both Teams aren't that Far apart....

    1) Young head coaches... Carrol/Fraiser
    2) New OCs

    What hurts us is

    1) Run game is better here and Peterson needs his 20 touches vs. Lynch who might get 15 - 25 based on games

    2) Double tight is going to be our based offense. Not as many WRs on the field to pull defense away from rice

    3) Stadium issues... we dont have one

Why the hell would Rice want to be with T-Joke? He is no longer a Viking now so I can call him T-Joke.

Did you see what the two of them did agains the Bills?

Comeon guys, it isn't about the QB, its about who will pay the most. We already saw this team (over two regimes) try to fix their WR position via FA. The are going to try to do it again this year by landing the second best possesion guy on the market, who by the way, just happens to know the O-coord and the QB who will be throwing him the ball.

By the way, who do you think winds up getting paid more, TJ or Dnabb. LOL>

Agree, there are 3 WR's that fit what we need.....

V Jax - Just signed his tender (or is going to) so he is now off the market.

Rice - In a bidding war with a team that is WAY under the cap and has a owner who remembers what ole Bryzcheapski did to him with the Hutch thing.

Plex - Rumors about the Rams but not much more out there right now. Got a visit scheduled with the Giants, Bores, and one other team I can't figure out yet.

If we can't get one of them, then it looks like we will have the like of Floyd or maybe even Arcenaux as our solution.
