Vikings Schedule More Free Agent Meetings

The Vikings are set to talk with two safeties in the next few days.
Baltimore safety Will Demps is scheduled to meet with the Vikings, but there are other teams on his radar first, according to his agent, Anthony Agnone.
“He’s supposed to be in there Tuesday. We’ll see if he makes it that far,†Agnone said.
Demps is meeting with Cincinnati on Sunday and the New York Giants on Monday.
He is entering his first year as an unrestricted free agent and has started more than half the games with Baltimore since 2002. He played in only 11 games in last year, recording 52 tackles and no interceptions, according to NFL.com. He has 234 tackles, 3.5 sacks and four interceptions in his four seasons with the Ravens.
Tampa Bay safety Dexter Jackson is also scheduled to meet with the Vikings, according to his agent, Peter Schaffer.
“He’ll be there on Monday with a visit for Tuesday,†said Schaffer.
Jackson is also scheduled to talk with Cincinnati and Tampa Bay.
Jackson, a former Super Bowl MVP in his first stint with Tampa Bay, has been in the league seven yearsâ€â€six with Tampa Bay and one season (2003) with the Arizona Cardinals. He has played in 89 games, registering 329 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 14 interceptions.
His familiarity with Vikings defensive coordinator Mike Tomlin, the former defensive backs coach for the Bucs, would be considered helpful.
NOTES
Running back Chester Taylor is considered the frontrunner among running backs to land on the Vikings roster. Taylor is believed to have declined a five-year, $17 million contract proposal from the Ravens, who have also offered a contract to Jamal Lewis. The Ravens declined to assign a $6 million franchise tender to Lewis last month, but have maintained dialogue with Lewis' agent.
Agent Mike Sullivan confirmed that the Vikings have an interest in Seattle Seahawks running back Maurice Morris.
“We’re not commenting on anything right now except that the Vikings have expressed interest,†Mike Sullivan said.
However, the Vikings likely wouldn’t further that interest if they signed Taylor Saturday.
Green Bay kicker Ryan Longwell is reportedly meeting with the Vikings Saturday.
As reported here from the NFL Combine last month, the Vikings have a serious interest in San Diego linebacker Ben Leber. The Vikings are reportedly meeting with Leber Saturday.
According to ESPN, the St. Louis Rams signed former Vikings safety Corey Chavous to a five-year deal that averages about $4 million per season. The first year could be worth between $6 million and $7 million. He is expected to play free safety after playing strong safety for the Vikings.

I know the signings are old, but what about the info on Will Demps, and Dexter Jackson? I've seen where people stated that they would like Dexter Jackson, but nothing that he was meeting with the Vikes..

Woah thats hot!! If we sign him not only do we get a safety but a guy who could make this ogranization a lil prettier.

That is funny.. Wouldn't mind seeing the Vikes go with all black unis on occasion. Those pics of Demps in all black Ravens jersey, those jersey's are awesome.. The Vikes should do that once in a while..

I agree with that, but I would like to see an all black uni just once. but make thim look like the road uni's I like those just a little better than the home uni's. Here's a question if we do sign Willy D will he or Sahrp play SS?
