Re: Vikings re-sign Ryan Cook
The best part of it is the fact that when he signed the new 2 year contract a month ago, he didn't get any signing bonus.

Nothing like giving a guy a 2 year contact & 30 days later when he's still excitedly jumping up & down because he believes he made the team, the Vikings kick him in the gnads & send him packing. LOL!

Re: Vikings re-sign Ryan Cook
His 2011 salary was only $875,000. Doubt any of our current 5 safety's are making anything big either.

Re: Vikings re-sign Ryan Cook
How about the salaries of the other guys we gut like Farwell, DeGeare etc? If we could reconfig Greenway and use the cap space from a few other guys we could get there.

They were talking on the radio this week that AP will more than likely need to wait for a new contract. The person who floated the theory said the team would wait till next year and franchise Peterson and then give him a new deal the next year. Not sure I buy into it but that is what apparently was what some in the FO were looking at doing.

Re: Vikings re-sign Ryan Cook
I don't think the difference between what we paid them vs. what we paid their replacements is all that huge. Certainly not Millions.

Re: Vikings re-sign Ryan Cook
I am going to go on a rant here. i am sick of good players getting hosed on by a certain someone. Payback time. Cook fucking sucks. He has always sucked. It has nothing to do with throwing him in early or any of that other bullshit excuses I heard. He is a terrible blocker. He obviously is not very bright. How many times can you make the same mistake over and over. His penalties are out of control. I am so glad he is off this team. He is not a pro-bowler which means more people than just one have seen something in you. Get it? He will never be a pro bowler. Hell he will never be a starter. Where is all this crap that was spewed about him being a serviceable OL? I am so glad we have Leslie in charge now. Cleaning out the garbage that is not cap related. Peace.
