When he arrived at Division I-AA Coastal Carolina in 2002, Thigpen was coming to a school that had never fielded a football team............

Nice read.

Should be interesting to see how he will play in the NFL. I think he will do fine if we ever have to put him in.

Sounds like the same situation as when only ONE team would recruit Marshall Faulk at RB...San Diego State...we all know how THAT turned out!

"He told me that if I really took this year seriously, I had a chance to go to the NFL," Thigpen said.

Thigpen threw for 3,296 yards, 29 touchdowns and only 11 interceptions, and rushed for another 780 yards and five scores. He was named the Big South Conference Player of the Year after not even making All Conference his first three seasons.

Nothing wrong with that, for a 7th round pick.

I agree, no one even heard of this guy but he might can be a starting QB one day. I hope he can play a game in pre-season.

I like this guy.....who knows? it could be the next Brady....and if Jackson doens't workout he might be our backup plan....otherwise he may get developed and then traded....which I wouldn't mind either if Jackson turns out.....

I hope he makes the squad. I'd much rather have a guy that may develop into a decent quarterback as our third stringer than a guy that has never gotten it done wherever he's been. (Henson)
