Training camp can bring a rush of emotions to young players who are searching for a shot to play on a team. Some are simply trying to cling to the team for dear life...

Rice3 and Edwards are the 2 on that list that puzzle me the most. Rice has never realyy been teh "starter" and The Vikes continue to rotate DE. I really like Robison, and I want KU to come back but people need to remember he is coming back from a serious Medical issue and wll need time.

"Speed is about all Allison does have... maybe he should call Al Davis..."

    Ouch.

Rice & Edwards aren't necessarily on "on the bubble", per say, but they definitely have a lot to prove this season.

    No kidding

Seems like he has been trying to bulk up a bit to avoid these

Hopefully he breaks out this year

Yeah ... Rice and Edwards are not on the bubble as far as making the roster goes, but they need to fight it out to keep Harvin and Robison from taking their 'spots.'
I think we actually have a lot of depth in most spots, which is kind of nice. I am comfy with whomever ends up the backup QB, the No. 3 and No. 4 WRs, the No. 3 and No. 4 CB, the No. 4 LB and the DE rotation. I am a little worried about DT, but I think we will be all right.

Great run-stopper, but not so good getting after the QB.

The primary job of the LDE is run stop and containment, not sacks.
Ray Edwards had 5 sacks from the same position last year, matching the numbers that Udeze put up.

    Wasn't Reggie White an LDE?

On running plays, the job of BOTH DEs is to keep containment.
On passing plays, the job of BOTH DEs is to get after the QB.
