The Vikings missed their best shot at a No. 1 wide receiver when free agent Kevin Curtis elected to sign with Philadelphia, but Spielman said that doesn't mean they'll have to find one in the draft.

"You don't know," he said. "Who knows what's going to happen on draft day, where someone might want to trade a receiver that we covet?

Interesting. What team out there has a receiver ,that we might covet, that may be looking to trade him to the Vikings for the #7 pick?

And if you continue it:

Who knows if someone gets released after the draft or you make a trade after the draft? There's so much that can go on between now and the draft, after the draft. It's a never-ending process of building a roster and continuing to add."

Everything could happen to tweak the roster at any given time.

There is going to be someone who has unexpected surplus post-draft also.

I can't find anything with respect to teams with UFA WR or some that have contracts coming up who might be in a disgruntled mood with his team that they will have a hard time re-signing.

Who's got a link.

I think the Vikings would be more likely to trade for Jerry Porter before they'd trade for Moss.

But the culture of accountability seems to have taken a back seat.

The Vikes just signed Mike Doss, who was arrested in 2005 for carrying a concealed handgun.

It seems the criteria used last year has gone out the window.

I would guess that the new DC, Frazier, vouched for Doss's character.
