I find all this talk about Sage Rosenfells quite funny. Never before has so much hype been generated over a 9-year crap shoot vet.

    Hilarious.
I agree. By no means am I gonna root against the guy...I wanna send the best QB we have out there. But to see media outlets like ESPN and so many fans have him penciled in as the starter is insane.
Yeah...just goes to show how little the talking heads know.
They all seem to spout the same, regurgitized line about how we need better QB play, which is true, but rarely if ever do they also explain that we need better pass blocking, route running, and ball catching just as badly-or it doesn't matter much who the QB is.
This guy pretty much nails it...OL, WR, and maybe QB need a starter.
We're pretty set at the other positions, but could use some depth, that hopefully doubles as ST help.

I feel good about our QB situation, and obviously, Sage is part of that.
He's a younger more mobile Gus, who led us to an 8-3 record...definite improvement IMO.
But, I think the real improvement is in Jackson's progress.
He looked unbeatable vs. ARI, decent vs. ATL, and led a late game winning scoring drive vs. the Gints.
The Eagles had a better game plan, better pass D, and better overall execution.
We had Birk mis snap a ball, missed blocks lead to Jackson fumbles, and pretty much blanketed WRs the whole game.
Any defense will get beat once in awhile, especially by a playmaker like Westbrook...it is up to the offense to limit the number of plays that they have to stop by staying on the field and scoring more than 14 points.

I saw one (slightly far fetched) mock that had us landing, in order, Harvin, Unger, and then Pat White.
That would be one hell of a way to boost offense!!
I'm looking for another similar kind of draft, but I don't see much chance of value falling to us at OT or QB in the first.
It really looks like BPA might be WR.
Control the line, control the time, and give your D a chance to shine!!

Not suprised by that to much, its the yutz's that buy into it that suprise me the most.
You kindof see it on here to a certain degree.......

My guess is most cats on here just read the title and whatever is "Quoted" from the article, make a lame assed post about that little tidbit, and then they move on.

    Makes me chuckle at times.

Quite a reach on that conclusion!
Geez, some folks will say anything to stir the pot.

I mean really, what was he supposed to say?
    "Wow.
7th most sacks allowed, that sounds like fun!
And, 23rd in completions percentage, I can improve on that...if they'll hold onto the ball.?"

I agree.....Course Gus is gone, TJ is still there and the national whipping boy.

Does Sage realize how good Big Ben is?

I think Sage, much like a good number of Vikings fans, is out of touch with reality when it comes to his (Sage's) talent.

Re: Vikings needs: Sage spices things but QB spot key

Here's another Vikings draft I'd like to see, and potentially possible...

    1.
    Kenny Britt
Solid possesion guy, runs very smooth for 220+ lbs, and is a very capable blocker also.
    2.
    Pat White
Wow...Three years in a row of 66.7% completions or better.
All 4 years, More TDs than INTs, with a total tally of 56TDs/23INTs.
Did I mention he's the NCAA all time rushing leader for QBs...?
    3.
TJ Lang Another versatile OL man who's quick enough on his feet to handle edge rushers, and strong enough to smash people in the mouth in the running game.
    Cool vid on his page...

    http://www.draftcountdown.com/scoutingreports/ot/TJ-Lang.php

Just wanted to add, that White isn't expected to start any games at QB this year, but provides a depth upgrade there and WR, and adds some nice trick play options too.
