Well, it looks like someone on the other side of enemy lines likes what the Beloved Purple did after the draft, as Dan Pompei of the Chicago Tribune has declared the Vikings' UDFA class as the best in the NFL......

Good reading singer, thanks. I think we got a couple diamonds in Drew Radovich, Erin Henderson, Marcus Griffin, and I wouldn't be surprised to see 1 or more make the final roster. If not, then practice squad. I thought last year we were laden with talent, this year some very tough decisions will have to be made as to whom suits up on Sundays.

We'll see how that Turd Polisher 3.0 version works this year.

The team had six players it liked on its draft board that weren't selected, and the team managed to sign all six. They'll get a good shot at making the team.

this is what was preached to us over the last 2 years.

building a team means gathering players that fit into the system that they wish to build. Now 3 years into that building and what do we have.

1. Talent in the depth charts.
2. Talent to shape for the coming years to replace star talent in our starters.
3. Talent that our Starters now can shape into NFL stars.
4. Young talent that will be able to take over in our open window of opportunity !! not to make a window!!

This is what is i see going on here. Not just finding those gems. but finding those that we can say.. You are a back up. firght yer way to be a starter.
will that come from next year?
2 years.. that's our options with the talent we've been bringing in. last year we needed our drafties/undrafties to contribute, now we need them to be shape-able, and learn from the pro's that are holding their future spots.

This is how i understand the building processes. at least now that we've seen that we find the talent the FO wants, and we've reached the problem that we will be releasing/PSqD other talent we want to shelf.. it's kinda a good problem for me to have.

Agree, we are in a good place with respect to depth.
Gonna be some hard decisions made this year by the coaching staff with respect to who stays and who goes.

yea i read about this in the paper a few days back, very glad they went out and did this. The one thing i loved from the article i read was "The Vikings saw six players on their draft board go undrafted.
They picked up all six of them"

gotta love the aggressiveness!

My only problem with this list is too much of it is Defensive.
We need some work on offense.
