essentially, its based on nothing except the fact that Childress was his OC for a while.
They MAY have an interest in trading for Peyton Manning too.

honestly im not a big fan of the acquisition of westbrook. id rather have LT, its good pass-catching but without the injuries. westbrook is injury-prone

I'd rather take LT. He's been banged up the past couple seasons, but I think he can still play at a good level.
Westbrook's had a couple of concussions, and who knows how long it will take, if ever for him to come back if he has another. I never really liked Westbrook. He was a versatile guy, but not a very good runner.
Having said that, I don't want either really. Neither will come cheap, I'd rather try for CT re-signing, and if not, perhaps hit the draft or find someone who's slipped through the cracks.

Westbrook? LT? Why all the speculation?
On offense, the Vikings need to know who will be the quarterback. The Vikings also need a fullback and a better blocking scheme.
On defense, they need to look at all defensive back positions. They need to evaluate the depth at linebacker.
The Vikings do not have the cash for big name free agents.
I expect Chester Taylor to sign a new contract in the next couple of days.
If Westbrook signs with the Vikings, I'm fine with it. If not, I wont care. Same goes for LaDanian Tomlinson.
