I've been wondering what Mr. Campbell has been up to, I really liked himThe Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL are apparently raving about former Viking Kelly Campbell, who is trying to make the roster after finding no interest from NFL teams. A story in the Edmonton Sun claims the team was looking at Campbell as far back as his college days and are happy to finally have him.
Sure he wasn't the best WR, but as a person he was great, nice guy and HILARIOUS! i loved the locker room interviews he'd do, when you paired him and Moss with a mic and a camera.. good god was that funny shit.
Hope he does well
and he doesnt have a job yet, but i am pretty sure he should at least make the practice squad if not the top 4. last year our WR core was horrible and had a lot of injuries
Should be a good pick up imo

Nice to hear Kelly Cambell is getting a chance. His speed and quickness should enable him to be a star in the CFL.
Why?
He was a punk thug.
He was a distraction to the team and a big mouth and we didn't need him in the locker room!
If he wasn't related to Daunte he wouldn't have gotten a shot with the Fins and he couldn't stay on that terrible team.
One of the best moves the Vikes made was getting rid of him.
Alot.
But I hated his off-field antics.
I agree with everything you stated.Vegans are eating the rainforests. =(

That is the sort of back up we need, one who understands his role.
Had they kept Brad Johnson on the Roster, I don't think we would have had that.
He still though he should be the starter and wouldn't have accepted the back up/mentor role as gracefully as it appears Gus is.The true measure of a man is what he'd do knowing he'd never be found out.

Re: Vikings mandatory minicamp
Thanks for the update GG and Singer.
Couple of thoughts/comments.
No they haven't.Minnesota has been holding practices as part of their organized team activities the past two-plus weeks.
I thought everyone knew that they just did jumping jacks and other things to get in shape.
(More sarcasm from Marrdro in case you didn't get it.
;D)
Another indicatory my dream might be coming true (Crossed fingers... :Safety Darren Sharper will be among 20 current and former players who will take part in the annual NFL Broadcast Boot Camp from June 16-19 at NFL Films in Mt. Laurel, N.J.
)
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Notes
- Mini camp is a lot like training camp, in that the team separates practice into several sections. Brad Childress spent a lot of time watching and working with the offense on Friday, specifically wide receivers....

You have to give Brad Childress credit. The Vikings coach is always trying to think of ways to keep his players interested and enjoys challenging them to think.....

Brad Childress was asked about the fact center Matt Birk said today that he wants to complete his career as a member of the Vikings. Birk, of course, has skipped all of the Vikings’ voluntary workouts this offseason and is heading into the final year of his contract...
Childress spoke after the Vikings took part in their first minicamp practice. Some notes from that session.....
