Ever wonder why they employed a directional kicking strategy on KO's?

Probably because the kicker couldn't get it into the endzone consistently, with enough hang time, to allow coverage teams to get down there.

Call it spin, I call it a ST's Coord getting what he can out of a player until they can fix it next (this) year.

64.1 (Ranked 36th) How in the hell can a kicker be ranked 36th when there are only 32 teams. That means there are backups out there kicking farther than him.

Additionally, he is ranked 25th (27.9) when it comes to Avg Starting position.

and they list guys that have one kick, or under 5. Shane Lechler kicked off once last season for 75 yards and he's #1.

your right, I'm sure it had nothing to do with using a guy with good accuracy to pin defenders to the sidelines, taking away a portion of the field and using the sideline as a defender.

Easier to defend a guy when you know which way he has to cut than it is to defend a guy who can go anywhere.

Nope, not an excuse. Just a strategy you use when your Kicker has a leg like a Noodle.....

I bet we don't see any directional kicking (except on Punts) this year.

Lets not forget what the Aints did to us (Percy) on Koff's. Pretty much took one of our strengths away. I for one sure wish we would have had a young strong leg in overtime.

I hope we sign 4 ex-packers next offseason so I can see what kind of hate-rants you can come up with for them.
