    85 Greg Camarillo
    12 Percy Harvin
    15 Andre Holmes

After listening to KFAN and reading tweets from TC, i think Jaymar Johnson is pretty safe..

Of course depends on what he does in the pre-season games but his return abilities helps him alot.

This is a pretty epic battle for the 4-5th WR spot.. Hoping we will see some good things in the pre-season..

Who is gonna be this years Jason Carter? Pre-season hero

I liked him coming out of OU. He didn't do fuck all for the Bears, but i wouldn't be shocked if he made the squad. Pleasantly surprised, but not shocked.
    I would be shocked.

Reports from camp give no indication on any show of skill from him. In the NFL, you need to prove that you belong on a roster, not give reasons that you don't.

If he is just ok, not making mistakes, but not getting peoples attention, that's not good enough.

There's too much competition for only 5 roster spots

So far, I see three locks:

    Harvin
    Berrian
    Jenkins

after that, two spots between 10ish guys

    I see:
    Jaymar
    Aromashodu

After that, Camarillo and Arceneaux would be the next up.

If we carried 8 receivers, he might have a shot. Unfortunately for him, we don't.
I agree with this for the most part.

Harvin, Berrian, and Jenkins are all locks.

    Jaymar is relatively safe.

I really wish we would go with 6 WR's and keep Aromashodu and Camarillo. Arceneaux could be a guy that lands on the practice squad, but could also be snatched up. I still believe strongly that we need to keep Camarillo. He wasn't used very well at all last year with the KAO and now with Musgrave running the show I think he can really help in the slot. He catches everything and is a great special teamer.

I jsut don't see the value of Camarillo. He's not fast, he's not young, what you see is what you get. I think Jenkins is an upgraded Cam. Reliable hands, but not outstanding at anything.

We already have our slot receiver in Harvin, and I don't think we're going to be runnig a ton of 4-wide, and if we do, expect Shank to be split out.

Cam can catch a punt, but that's about it. Jaymar can not only catch punts, but return them too.

I'd far rather go for a younger option with more potential, whether it be Aromashodu, Arceneaux, etc. Younger, cheaper, better.

I am a bit surprised watching Aromashodu that he hasn't been successful. Watching him and Jaymar both make good sharp hard cuts. Getting some separation does not appear to be hard for either.

Cam will play his heart out on every snap. We need that on this team.
Like when he stripped the ball on the one after a Favre interception.

Yeah, and remember when Greg Lewis made that one catch? But he's not on the team either.

When David Tyree made a rediculous superbowl catch to save the Giants? Again, he's not in the league.

The NFL is about "what have you done for me lately". Cam needs to make himself noticed in TC, not just be a guy out there 'trying hard'.

Re: Vikings to keep 5 WR's

Everyone seems to think that Berrian is a lock to make the team. My surprise pick is for Jaymar to take his spot, giving us:
    12 Percy Harvin
    84 Michael Jenkins
    11 Jaymar Johnson

    16 Emmanuel Arceneaux
    19 Devin Aromashodu

Arceneaux could be the wildcard, if we go with youth, but Camarillo is the backup for Harvin, and could force either Aromashou, or Arceneaux to the practice squad or be cut. We are going with youth this year and JJ is a up and comer with the same exact skill set as BB just younger and less expensive. This is just food for thought but I can see this happening. Thoughts?
