Exciting news...the Vikings are finally interested in some decent players...

Maybe this team won't suck after all...oh wait, thats right...these are all defensive players...

When are we going to get some offensive playmakers?

Decent news...if the Vikings can sign these guys...but the offense is still going to be horrible...
I hear there's this draft thing coming up that might help out with this.

It's been said in other threads and I agree - Were there really many impact offensive players they could have went for this year? I just don't see any quick fixes (FA's) for our situation.

    Ian Scott is horrible.
Not bad Horrible. Not saying Ross K. or Spencer Johnson are any better... but Scott is not an improvement.

Without T. Harris the Bears interior was one of the worst in the league and Scott was a big part of that.

If we sign him it will accomplish 2 things.
    1) Sure up tat position for us.
    2)
    Really screw the Bears.
With Johnson going to the "Tank" so to speak
    ;D he may be suspended.
That will have a big impact on their defensive line.

Well I'm sure he wants to look at all his options before making his decision and even though he would be good depth it's not worth paying too much money.

IMO no one is worth paying too much money for.
However it seems to be the pattern this year in free agency.
At least for the Vikings so far.
Since it's not coming out of my pocket if it's a move that helps the team then the FO has to do what's best for the team.
I'm sure they aren't going to break the bank if they do sign him.

I think you're both right. Our offense is still looking like it's going to suck but there isn't much we could have done about it at this point. The draft will definately help if we draft Brady Quinn or Calvin Johnson or another receiver, but neither of those guys will make us 100% better right away.

Rookie quarterbacks struggle and rookie wide receivers don't have a huge impact their rookie years (generally speaking).
