    An example that exemplifies this well, George Blanda, Round 12, pick 119, pick 119 was the 20th pick of the 4th round in todays format.

    Actually it does. The first pick of the 12th round in 1970 was pick 287. The last pick in the 2010 draft was pick 255. B)
