The Vikings have extended the contract of cornerback Cedric Griffin.

Wasn't to long ago I was still trying to convince the predominance of you chuckleheads that all this kid needed was some time.

    ;D

    Excellent move IMHO.
How does signing an extension prove anything? Anyways glad to see this happen. Looking forward to doing more Cedric poses.
Fighting it to the end aren't ya?

    ;D

Fighting what? I own a Griff jersey.
    I didn't know that.
Anyway, just like to push your buttons sometimes.
When Greenway extends, I will probably remind you of that as well.

Can you imagine how much fun I will have if Cook wakes up and smells the coffee this year?

    Damn I love this site.

    ;D
Cook does not even know what coffee is.

Lets hope now they trust him, they let him play CB like he should. Hed be better at bumping the WR at the line. Yeah i know we have cover 2 but once in a while..

There's no reason you can't jam at the line in the cover 2.

I'm happy to hear this. He stepped it up a notch in the latter half of the season. I love it when draft picks pan out beyond the initial contract.

Very good move, for the management, to get the youngster locked up long term.

Now im interested in seeing if we get Winfield locked up, or do we let him test the 2010 market.

Funny thing is, once M-will got back in there he did it quite a bit.
    Funny how some missed that.

Quite a bit = barely, do we really have to go back to this discussion?

    Yup.
I like it especially when I point out how he was manning up against the other teams best reciever and actually going to Whinnies side (Houston, Cardinals).

    Awesome resigning!!
    Glad to have him!
Hmm, seems I called that we'd resign him by mid season earlier today

In a year of bleak free agency offerings the front office is thinking way ahead. This bodes well for our future.
The only thing I would ask Griffen to do is practice catching balls during the entire off season.

He could have way more picks if he didn't have hands like Williamson.
