I am interested in what my fellow Vikings fans are thinking right now as far as our first pick in the draft is concerned.
We have a few holes to fill and the first round of the draft may be an excellent place to do that.
So, what do you think?

BPA
I'll go with BPA also. The Vikes were not hurting for running backs last year, and that kid they drafted turned out to be pretty good. :D

This Time of year is brutal. I love mock drafts but they really are pointless, especially this year for the Vikes.
There is no way anyone at winter park has a clue who their picking until after Free Agency. All of our Holes would be Best fixed in FA.
I Hope we can pick up a DE,S,WR In FA so that we can take BPA in the Draft. Each of these positions seem to be deep enough in the draft,
so as long as we get one or two of these positions filled before the draft we should be ok.
Sign DE Odom. Sign a Jerry Porter, Andre Davis, or Bernard Berrian, Sign a vet saftey, and go BPA in the draft. Best case senario.

Last year, I had it down to LaRon Landry, unless Adrian Peterson dropped.....then, it was a no-brainer; you don't pass on AD at #7 - PERIOD.
Thank goodness AD dropped, Wilf has a draw that will fill the Dome for many years, and we fans have a great player to rally around.
That said, Landry is an obvious Pro-Bowler in the making.
This year, it's very different, with the #17 pick.
Given depth at WR, and the fact that DE is not clear cut after Howie's kid, I take a Kenny Phillips, hands down if he's there.
If not, it is really anybodies guess...especially since we don't have any idea of the FA outcome at this point.
The Vikes will go after either Muhammad, Hackett, Berrian, or Jerry Porter.
Anyone of these guys can help, certainly Muhammad is more of a 2-yr guy.
For some reason, I have a hunch about Hackett.
Also, the Draft doesn't stop after Round 1...I have alot of faith in the FO's ability to evaluate talent.
The draft is more art than science, these guys are getting better IMO.
