Vikings Draft-Day Chronicles
Draft-Day Chronicles

Draft day is a fast-paced and critical time for NFL teams. Phones are ringing constantly, discussions occur in war rooms about addressing team needs or staying true to the board and after all the dust settles following two days of non-stop action, a new class of players join the roster in preparation for the following season.....

Re: Vikings Draft-Day Chronicles
The recent trade just screwed mocks accross the country. I laugh at all who spent so much time making their now obsolete drafts. Hahahahahaha!
If we obtain one starter from the draft it is success. My first choice would be to grab Carl Nicks. My second would be to trade up for Brohm, but he won't be there. I'm worried about not having any 3rd round picks. Guys like Jordy Nelson and Brian Johnston are rising up boards and we may not have a chance at either.
We have 6(?) picks left:
2. OT
4. WR
5. DT
6. DE
6. S
7. QB
That is still more than we need.

But if you think about it. We aren't in need of starters anywere this year with the exception of possibly LT.
I like the thought of Nicks by the way.
Baker might be there as well.
2. OT
4. DT
5. S
6. WR
6. QB
7. K
I would also bet we see a butt load of undrafted FA coming in at the QB, LB, RB, TE, DT, WR and OL positions.
;D
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

2. OT (be pretty shocked if anything else was picked)
4. QB/WR

6. S/QB
6. S/QB
7.DT
I don't see us drafting a DE given we have 2 DE's who are likely to be out... Udeze on IR and James.... who knows.

Re: Vikings Draft-Day Chronicles
We still have a 3rd? that is kind of nice.
I think we need a CB a little sooner than most of you have. There are probably 8-10 that will start this year so using a 3rd or 4th on a CB for the nickle or even dime would be nice.
But yes. depth on the oline is necessary. We're bringing purple back.

Kevons scenario is based on us letting the Giants move up in the 2nd, we move down and pick at thier spot and get a 3rd for doing that. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.
