Vikings Could Cut Bernard Berrian This Week
This is something that I think all of us think is a good thing. I for one would rather see them try to trade him, if for no other reason than a 5 or 6th.

It is probably best if he moves on. I was not that keen on signing him anyway. Especially to that big of a contract. He did give us one spectacular play on that catch from Gus against the Bears and actually made some real nice plays when Gus was in there but he became forgotten when Brett got here and he always seemed to be dinged up in the pre season.

The Vikings need to do a better job of identifying WR's to build the group up through the draft instead of signing over priced FA's. I know they drafted Rice but he has been a bit injury prone and Harvin is great when he can play but the migraine thing is starting to make me wonder whether he will ever be a consistent player either. Hopefully he gets that behind him this summer but if it goes on another year then I am guessing it will lead to a very erratic career.

When do we have to cut him to avoid being on hook for the $3.9m? I assume once the CBA expires then the option to trade him will go? Give it too late in the year and no-one will offer anything for him, not even a 6th or 7th pick.

Im not for cutting BB. I would like us to redo his contract.
We simply do not have the WRs to release one. Harvin is a weekly ? mark and Sid is always banged up.

While I would love to say good riddance like many of you, I just dont see how we can move him with some of the other uncertainties at the position.

I would love to think we could trade him but the fact is that no one is going to sign up for paying a guy that much based on his paltry production.

Yeah, BB has to go for what he is being paid. He hasn't earned half of what he has made. I am a Rice fan and hope we resign him, can't deny the question marks around his injuries though.
