MANKATO — When center Matt Birk and his Minnesota Vikings teammates began training camp a year ago, new head coach Brad Childress was an unknown commodity.....

“You would like to get more of a rush from that whole front four and I saw a bunch of guys flash that today,” Childress said Friday".

Last year was a fluke. We have the talent and they will show the ability to get to the QB. The Williams pushing up the middle and Udeze, Scott, Mitchell(LE's) and Edwards, James, Smith, and now Robison (RE's) will keep a strong rotation into the 4th Qtr, where a big sack can influence the outcome of a game. I say we get 10-15 more sacks this year, putting us in the top 10 sack leaders.

Still, Childress said he feels good as he heads into his second season and hopes that optimism will rub off on the team’s fans.
I like it when I get rubbed.

This is the answer to the Udeze debate. He will have his sacks if there is more interior pressure imo.
What takes a quarterback to the next level is not arm strength or mobility or any of that stuff. Its the ability to play on critical downs. Manage third downs, or red zones or four-minute or two-minute situations"

    How true.
Are you saying the Williams did not do this last year?
Maybe with Pat being in possibly his best physical form this year he will be able to get more distruption into the line instead of clogging it.
Could Kevin Williams really improve on a Pro Bowl year though?
