A crowd of more than 7,000 was inside Blakeslee Stadium tonight to watch a Vikings-Chiefs practice that ended about 20 minutes early. This was not a scrimmage so there were no stats.

Neither quarterback set the world on fire in the Vikings' first test against an opposing team.....
Overall this was a good practice. Practice with another team will shake up the mundain daily ritual of going against your own guys. It brings up the intensity, and allows younger guys to get some reps against another colored jersey. Tonight should be more of the same. Good stuff Singer Thanks.

from what im hearing our offense was medium, didnt move the ball much but didnt turn it over. That is good with me since Twill, AA was sidelined. Good to finally hear rice named mentioned once in a while. And our defense was solid against the pass, anything good about our run defense?

MANKATO, Minn. - There weren't many highlights Friday night in Tarvaris Jackson's first preseason performance against a non-Viking defense.....
Good to see Tarvaris feeling comfortable out there. We have alot of came and preseason to contiue to grow, and I believe T-Jack is going to turn heads by mid-season this year. I won't say we're gonna shock the league, as we have to many variables, but as a whole our skill position guys are going to be a great surprise.
