Vikings call together a crowd of potential draft picks

    http://www.startribune.com/510/story/1112592.html

"The team has not confirmed any names, but Adams -- considered by many the top defensive lineman in the draft -- is one of the players on their list.

Others include: Pittsburgh cornerback Darrelle Revis, who like Gaines is a possible first-round pick; Maryland defensive tackle Conrad Bolston; Ohio State receiver Roy Hall; Tennessee receiver Robert Meachem; Tennessee offensive lineman Arron Sears; Minnesota tight end Matt Spaeth; and Coastal Carolina quarterback Tyler Thigpen."

I like both revis and sears.
How many are real targets and how many are smokescreens?
Cause you know every year teams call in guys they have no interest in to fool other teams on who they really like.
    Which ones would they be?

Adams, Revis, and Meachum. Nice names. I would like to see us take Peterson/Patrick Willis, but I'll leave it to the "experts" to point us in the right direction.

What the Vikes do will surprise alot of us I think. either with the move or who we pick. I thionk its weird bring that many in at once, I would think you wouldn't get to know them as well.
But that is why my ass sits on the couch on Sunday and not in the winter park front office.

I bet Tyler Thigpen is Childress' choice at #7.

There is a good chance Washington will take Adams at #6, and if they do, we should trade up right away. Everyone else on that list be there later. So getting extra picks and still getting who we want sounds good to me.

How many of those players are "must haves" & are worthy of a number 7th pick?

Depending on whose the BPA available at #7, I won't be shocked if they trade the pick down & pick up one of those players later in the first round & gain another pick in the trade.
