Re: Vikings assess FSU defensive back's knee

Sounds kind of dicey . . . big risk, no matter how talented he is. No pro experience (obviously), 1 game started, and coming back from major knee surgery? What's all the hype about?

This is the kind of pick I could see happen because our picks tend to end up being somebody we don't expect to take. Cromartie has some very freakish speed running a sub 4.4 in the 40 and being 6'2" he could be a very good nickel corner for us as we don't know who will be at that.

I think he'll go before our first 2nd rounder. He had a hell of a combine workout and scouts love the combine workout. It sometimes carries more weight than their actual on the field play.

This should be an interesting draft. The Vikes could go in so many directions there is really no way to know what they will do. They could trade up for a QB or sit back and take a LB or possibly a DB with the 17 pick. I wouldnt be surprised if they took one of the stud RBs if one of them falls into our lap.

I hope that we dont get a RB with our first round pick, unless his last name is Bush. That would be a lot of money we just spent on two RBs after we picked up Taylor. I think we are great with Taylor.
