Re: Vikings - 2nd Wave of FA Provides Depth
Another very good read my friend, thanks.
By the way, as I stated in the other thread, it is gonna be hard for this rookie class to break into the 53 man roster.
10 picks, very few roster positions........
Very intersting.
Probably will see continue to burn a 3rd on Sage and maybe move up a couple of times as we target a couple of kids that will make the team.
I currently see open roster positions at QB (KH) and S.
What am I missing here.
By the way, I am now officially convinced we were sold a bill of goods on the whole "Build through the Draft" crap.
Fricken front office.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

starting over from scratch.
However, our team has the talent to compete. Why waste our Vets prime years. Step in fix what's broken with good players and make a strong playoff run. Draft to replace the cogs when they are worn. Don't draft because you need cogs.

I never believe a player can't be replaced.
Think about it.
We have had some great players come and go on this team.
Who would you rather have:
Joey Browner/Darren Sharper
Kevin Williams/John Randall
Hutch/McDaniel
EJ Henderson/Scott Studwell
If the front office and continue to provide players that fit the scheme and that have enought are talent that the coaches teach then we will always have a player or two that people will believe we can't live/do without.
Again, players come and players go.
Its the front office's job to make sure we always have high caliber players on the team and the coaches jobs to make sure they are ready to play. Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

That's what I meant by replace the cogs as they become worn. I'm glad that we have become more active in FA.
I think people may expect us to do this every year, which won't happen.

I could go either way on the other two, but would prefer to have them all on my team at the same time.

kindof thinking should/is associated with teams like the Deadskins who have no future (no CAP, Very few picks, and an aging team).

Definitely, Joey Browner & John Randall.

It is simply crazy to sit there and think this team is built to win now or we are sunk based on the what limited info we have on how our FO works under Spielman.
Many many thanks to my talented friend Jos for the new Sig.

Ned's a good one for hitting that enter key repeatedly.
