I knew it would be more after Bryz made sure some of our players don't hit some of those crazy incentives

    Bryz is the pooh
Peppers, Byrant Johnson, Garcia/ Carr/ Leftwitch... can all be had for 15 million.
I would take that in a second.

Peprs aprrox = 8 million this year.
    Johnson = 3 million
    Garcia =
    4 million

I would take that in a heat beat.

We gotta think long term though

We also have to sign our rookies

And lock up some people next year that won't have a contract

WE don't wanna go over the cap

I think 1 pretty big name is enough.. If Housh comes at a decent price.. Nothing outragueous.. He should be our first look
That would leave us with 13 million for Rookies and extenstions... I say...that's more than enough.
How many of these players do you plan on the Vikings not resigning?

    - He's gone. Not a Chilly guy and his playing time has been cut in favor of the lessor talented guys. He's gone.

    Heath Farwell LB
    -
Will be resigned, will not get top tier money ST due to his injury. Approx a 1.5 million this year against the cap.

Napoleon Harris LB - WIll be kept on.
Will probably accept the vet minimum to play.
Dontarrious Thomas LB - Gone. Never played was used a strictly an emergancy body( li like him though)
Jimmy Kennedy - Min. Money as no intrested is anywhere.
Ellis Wyms DT - Gone. Was not used last year when we had the injury to pat. Will have his spot taken by a drafted rookie.

On the other hand you have extentions that will free up cap.

Agreed resigning players THIS year won't take much cap

But then you gotta factor in rookies.. Im guessing another 5 mill on top of that

Then you gotta resign players NEXT year like Winny and Griffin and Greenway.. Atleast I believe their contracts are up next year

But never the less we are comfortable.. But not nearly as comfy as many think

Yeah...his 53.5 sacks in 5 years at LDE is really crappy. What was CAR thinking.

Lets see what happened to the Panthers...

Lost Rucker and Bruckner left that Peppers with an agry Jenkins and a sh*t load of double teams.
It's like if Allen lost Everyone on our Dline. You couldn't expect him not to get trippled and double team.
BY the way, although he missed 2 games most of his stats are comparable to what he usally gets.. In closing, Peppers can play DE anyone arguing that is loco.

True, However, when you resign only the guareetee is paid. Everything else stats over. I believe most of the contracts we give out are front loaded with Guareetees and back heavy with salary. Resigning Winfield will probably free up some cash for us. I think we may loose Greenway. This is why we need to win now. All these players we have on defense are coming due for a big salary. Greenway could request a huge Salary increase or could end up playing elsewhere.

4 pro bowlers on the D line would be so fucking nasty

But we have other needs we need to address.. Our D is just fine right now

We gotta get a RT and center somewhere.. Possibly a QB and a WR

Our offense struggled in terms of passing.. And hampered our run game.. Even though AP is sick and still lead the league in rushing.. Imagine if they weren't able to stack the line and stop him for 1 or 2 yards much of the time

    He is...
Although. Imagine what his numbers would look like with no Guards or Tackles trying to get a hand on him because they are doubling down on our DTs and our DEs...
I think few LB defenders will chose to leave that secenerio.

Are u kidding? Our lineman eat up blockers

Greenway goes unblocked quite a bit.. Check out many of his blitzes

And if we offer him good coin because we saved some money then he would stay I would imagine.. He hasn't ever said anything bad about us

Add Peppers to that line mix and think about what him an EJ could do.
