    Vikings:17th Ranked Off Season

    http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/story/6818358

    17. Minnesota Vikings
The Vikings upgraded their anemic offense from '06 by bringing in two premier college playmakers with their first two picks of the draft. Adrian Peterson is an Eric Dickerson prototype, who when paired with Chester Taylor, could help form the best 1-2 rushing attack in the NFL. Sidney Rice was more or less the entire South Carolina offense last season, hauling in 70 passes for Steve Spurrier's squad. Minnesota also brought in former Colts and Ohio State star Mike Doss at safety through free agency, and Fresno State cornerback Marcus McCauley in the draft.
    Biggest gain: Adrian Peterson, RB
    Biggest loss: Jason Whittle, C

Biggest Loss Whittle? Well considering that we have no OL I can see that.

Biggest loss might prove to be Mike Tomlin.
I like what the Vikes have done so far... one big time receiver would be nice...but if we truly have the best 1-2 rushing attack....we can live without a receiving stud!
After June 1st, there will be some other players cut that can still help this team.
I'd much rather see the Packers miss the playoffs because of their talent then because of their injuries.

im hoping some good vet recievers get cut, and we get a steal.. i think if we had a legit number 1 we'd be fine, rice is going to be a solid 2 by the end of the year, 17th seems fair because the lack of playmakers we got in FA

    Thanks josdin00

Probably Harris but Whittle was a loss too.
He started a few times late last year.

    Biggest FA gain:
Bobby Wade, WR - I think he's going to be a steal, but that's

based on my own opinion and no real evidence.

    Biggest FA loss:
Ross Kolodziej, DT - I really liked his motor and thought he

was a good change-of-pace when big Pat went out.

    =Z=

Thanks to Josdin for the awesome sig!

Whew, I got scared there for a minute.

I thought we got rid of everyone we had.
Just to make sure I checked, guys like Birk, Hutch and Mckinne are still there with some guys returning from last year as well as some new guys that will compete for Backup/Starting spots.

    Don't scare me like that.

Well not too bad of an offseason but they have been trying to find some good young lineman.

I bet Keyshawn will be the best player available, and i'm not too nuts on him. He just wants too much money.

Wobschall: There will indeed be another "phase" of free agency, as teams will continue to part ways with players. One recent example is Sam Adams, who was cut by the Cincinnati Bengals. Each player is a different case, but I don't see the Vikings singing a player like Adams or Keyshawn Johnson.

Ok one guy saying we won't sign him doesn't make it absolute... That being said, I agree we won't sign him. We could use his talent, but not his attitude....
