Anyone else think the title of this thread is misleading? I thought it was going to be a news article about the Vikings wanting to trade up in the draft...but noooo! It's another running back thread.

That's a LITTLE extreme, don't you think? And just because you think some player sucks DOESN'T mean that you have no football knowledge - it just means you have a different opinion than someone else...I hate how he got so big so now theres the people who go against the grain and say..REGGIE SUCKS AND REGGIE THIS! Hes a freak of nature, to say he sucks means you have no knowledge about RB's what so ever. I would sell my soul to trade up and get him. We probably wont, so I fear for him in houston.PPO Ambassador, Defender of the Purple Faith and Guardian of the Gates of Valhalla

I would rather see no superstars and a team approach to the game with a defense that is in the top 10.
Prophet you speak wisely. I agree and think thatmentality is what is going to happen here. Sure we will have superstars, but not featured ones.

We don't need Reggie Bush.

Re: Vikes to trade up....
Personally I don't see us giving Houston what they would want. However if there is a chance to get Bush it would be great. As said before, he is very comparable to people like Sanders, Smith, and LT. He did and can run up the middle and around the corners. Now he may have had the best front line in the NCAA so you have to take that in consideration as well. In any case, this guy will be an NFL stud. No doubt in my mind. The Texans do need a OL but a back like Bus and getting OL in later rounds would really help them. Davis has been injured too.
As far as what we would have to give up for him; if it is this years 1st round and next years 1st & 3rd rounds, Rosenthal and Withrow it is well worth it. Think of it this way. Rosenthal and Withrow both suck anyway. We would be swapping this years 1st round pick. Therfore, we would essentially only be trading next years 1st and 3rd round picks. Not too much to give up for someone like Bush.
