Wiggy is great. I love him. He is not a portotipical TE for the WCO. The WCO utilizes more timing passes and shorter routes. From what I heard about our old offense (the real WCO invented by Jerry Burns by the way)...it called for longer passing routes leaving the TE more time to get open. This was the reason you saw Wiggens catching alot of passes. You never can have to much talent at the TE position I guess.
We will use a form of the WCO, meaning it could be a mold of what we had before and the WCO, I doubt it will look the same as phily or anyone else, that would be a very unwise move. And who cares about the norm when it comes to players, wiggens is the best TE we had in quite some time. Its ok to go outside the box and not copy EVERYONE else. You republican whore!

you would see a great deal of change in our offense with a more athletic TE. Wiggens is serviceable but I just don't think of him as that TE threat that we will need in the future. I also don't think he's the greatest blocker. Nothing wrong with pursuing more talent at the position. I With this if Wiggens still can outplay anyone we bring in I say start the guy. Like I said I love Wiggens."enlvikeman" wrote:

What move? All we're doing is scouting the guy.I don't like the move at all. Who in his situation has proven anything, except for Antonio Gates? Wesley Duke out of Mercer was supposed to be "the next big thing", and look at him. Really nothing special.

Re: Vikes looking at TE prospect
this guys b-ball stats are nothing special. 3 points a game? Why would we want a guy who only grabbed 3 boards a game in college as our TE???

Re: Vikes looking at TE prospect
Look at Gates' stats.
20.6 points and 7.7 rebounds a game his senior year. Compare that to
3 points and 3 rebounds.

Re: Vikes looking at TE prospect
Has he even played football at any level? Did Gates? (I don't know if he did).
But it can't hurt to take a look at him anyway.Proud member of PP.O since April 5th, 2003!
